GOLF IN PUGLIA - APULIA

Unlike the surrounding regions, Apulia is the flattest territory in Italy due to it not having any of the Appennine Mountains. Most of the region is covered by the plain.

Almost all of the territory is dry and without vegetation apart from the frequent fields of indian figs which characterize this territory.

Climate:

The climate is typically Mediterranean: dry Summer heat and mild Winters. In the Apulian territory rain is very rare. Only in winter are there some rainfalls. Apulia is the area with least rain in Italy.

Comunications:

In Apulia there are three railway lines which connect the region with the rest of Italy: along the Adriatic coast runs the line for Ancona-Bologna, while from Bari and Taranto that for Naples. The motorways connect Bari with Bologna and Naples with Rome. The road network allows good links with all the towns. The most important airports are those of Palese (near Bari) and Casale (nearBrindisi).
