The
landscape of Trentino-Alto Adige is composed
of beautiful high mountains and glaciers. These
provide a source of water which has shaped the
scenery and makes the region very fertile.
Travelling
through the region you will often see a panorama
of orchards and forests of conifers, pastures
and breathtaking walls of cliffs that fall for
hundreds of meters; Trentino is full of bubbling
rivers and wild torrents that flow between the
cliffs.
The
climate of Trentino Alto Adige is harsh in the winter months
and fresh in the summer periods. During the winter there
are frequent abundant snow falls, while in spring and autumn
it often rains.
Comunications:
The main route that goes through Alto Adige is the motorway
that gives the Po Valley a gateway to Austria and southern
Germany through the Brenner Pass; this route is also followed
by the main railway lines (the Verona-Trento-Bolzano-Brennero).
