Dipped in mountains of the Appennino Umbro-Marchigiano we mostly find the hilly and green territory of Umbria. The whole region is covered with beautiful irregular green valleys.

While not lacking modern structures, Umbria still maintains its origins in the cities, some of which were constructed by the Etruschans and some by the Romans. During the Middle Ages, they became important and wealthy; that is shown by the numerous public buildings and the splendid churches built in those times.
